“We had a lovely stay in this amazing and unique railway carriage. Very clean. In the middle of town – so easy to walk to everything. The hosts have thought of everything and it’s amazing what they have done in the space; it’s so quirky yet comfortable and homely. The location is perfect, set back
just enough from the village square so it’s lovely and quiet. The outdoor space is lovely too and it has its own parking space. It’s a great base for North Yorkshire with so much to do and see; would highly recommend. Fun experience! 5 Stars !!”

Luxury. Helmsley’s Garden Cottage has it in bucket loads. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere of restrained style and exceptional taste was obvious. Its the sort of secret place you feel lucky to be in. The décor was sumptuous, and the warm welcome was genuine. With far more space than a 5* hotel suite and an atmosphere that is personal but not invasive, its impossible to feel anything other than completely relaxed. There’s plenty to explore locally and you have a truly special place to stay.
