Garden Cottage

Stay in your own private luxury Home-from-Home private cottage, attached to our 1560-Built property opposite the Market square. Your own private entrance leads into your own Dining Room and Kitchenette area which leads into your own large separate Lounge. A well-appointed Shower Room is situated on the ground floor. Upstairs is a large Bedroom with fitted wardrobes and TV.

The Space

Your own luxury Home-from-Home private cottage attached to our 1560-Built property opposite the Market square in fabulous Helmsley.

You have a private entrance, your own dining room & lounge, extremely comfortable bed within a large bedroom, private bathroom and free private parking.

The Bedroom, upstairs, is big enough to accommodate an infant and all of the travel-cot and baby gear that you need to bring with you.

The rate showed in includes all toiletries & towels and tea/coffee & milk to get you going. You are literally 1 minutes walk to a supermarket, bakers, butchers & delicatessen’s on the Market Square, opposite the property, as well as a multitude of cafes & restaurants to cater for breakfasts, lunches & evening meals !

Guest access
Both the Cottage & Carriage offer completely private accommodation hosted by Louise & Richard, who live in the main house adjacent to the Cottage & Carriage.

Guests access the two properties via a private entrance. Each has it’s own entrance door and are situated in a pretty garden setting which has separate seating areas for each listing.

Keys are obtained via secure key-safes at the entrance of each property….security & access details are provided following booking.

 – Your Carriage Awaits You 

Railway Carriage

Our 1887, 3rd Class Victorian Railway Carriage converted to 5* standards. With all the facilities of a self-catering property including a full kitchen and lounge/dining area including a welcome pack of essentials included in your rate.

In service to 1905, running between York & Scarborough, the Carriage ended up at Helmsley Railway Station, then brought to our property in that year !

The UK’s oldest & unusual Train Carriage accommodation !
The space
Our 1887-Built, 3rd Class Victorian Railway Carriage converted to 5* luxurious standards. With all the facilities of a self-catering property including a full kitchen and lounge/dining area.. All rates include a welcome pack of essentials and other items to make your self-catering experience easy.

Memory-Foam luxury double bed, plus 2 single high quality bunk beds in a separate bedroom – Suitable for families or two couples.

The Railway Carriage offers completely private accommodation but with assistance if you need it offered by the hosts, Louise & Richard, who live in the main house adjacent to the Carriage.

Our 1-Bedroom luxury Home-from-Home private cottage, attached to our 1560-Built property which can accommodate a couple plus a baby.
